About The Morrow County Republican Party

Under Ohio law, Morrow County Central Committee is responsible for filling vacancies in office or to fill vacancies on the ballot.

The Central Committee or the Morrow County Republican Party through the generous support of the Century Club members is committed to promoting candidates and activities that promote republican ideals, principles and values.

At the Morrow County Fair, we have a booth “shed” where we post all the Republican Elected Officials.  We provide literature on upcoming candidates and any important notices.  We hold drawings for theme baskets and American flags.  The party generously gives to the Junior Fair Board, sponsors two leadership awards, advertises on banners/signs throughout the fair, purchases pies and in 2021 bought the Reserve Champion Lamb.  In 2021, we provided the fairgoers the opportunity to sign a petition that rejects Critical Race Theory (CRT) in our county schools.  432 people signed the petition and copies were provided to each school board member, curriculum director and superintendent.

The party also participated in the Chesterville Heritage Day Parade.  Most summers we have a picnic for fellowship as well.

On presidential election years, the party has a “headquarters” in Mt. Gilead that is devoted to the election of the republican candidates.

In honor of President’s Day, we celebrate our first republican president, Abraham Lincoln.  We recognize his accomplishments and sacrifice to our country.
